The Rockland Stone Symposium is a two-week series of workshops, demonstrations and lectures culminating with an auction of large-scale sculptures produced during the event. The symposium will honor Maine’s longstanding history of stone industry and the Midcoast’s specific role in this context. The Symposium celebrates the timeless nature of stone, its deep ties to the past, and its relevance as a contemporary material for sustainable futures and creative art practices.
The Symposium is free to the public 9am - 4pm daily . Please visit our Program Schedule for a breakdown of events.
